About Neutral Pilates
Pilates has come a long way since the days of its
originator - Joseph Pilates. Through research the
original Pilates exercises have been modified so
we now gain more benefits from a Pilates
programme. Due to this advancement a number
of different Pilates methods have been
developed. Here at Neutral Pilates you can
experience STOTT PILATES and Body Control Pilates
(and hopefully more to come.)
STOTT PILATES is a contemporary approach to the
original exercise method. It is a progression in pilates
that incorporates modern exercise and
rehabilitation principles, eliminates contraindicated
movements and emphasises neutral alignment,
core stability and peripheral mobility.
Body Control Pilates is a safe and progressive
approach based upon the original method
developed by the late Joseph Pilates. It focuses
on teaching good movement skills step-by-step,
which will ultimately give you the strength and
flexibility you need to perform the more traditional
Pilates exercises. This method contains many
exercises unique to Body Control Pilates; it is
remarkably effective, and medically-approved.
